Full job description
Saturday and Sunday, 6:30pm-7:00am. Up to a $15,000 Sign on Bonus Available Position Summary: Performs routine imaging examinations in CT on a scheduled and emergency basis following departmental QC/Exam Data Integrity Workflow Expectations. Responsibilities: Performs routine imaging examinations in CT on a scheduled and emergency basis. Reviews and evaluates requisitions for CT imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for CT examinations. Identify patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers. Performs basic imaging analysis (e.g. 3D). Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy. Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develops plan for adjusting to patients' specific needs. Explain the examination and is able to answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Radiation exposure, practices ALARA. Consistently provides exceptional care and exceptional service. Follows Departmental QC/Exam Data Integrity Workflow Expectations. Practices High Reliability Training.
Patient/Family Relations Responds to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family. Equipment Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions. Operations Assists in organizing and maintaining daily operations of section. General Participates in departmental and hospital meetings. Completes all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Complies with ETU. Complies with HIPAA regulations. Practices the 6 core values of the Hospital; excellence, innovation, communication, respect, teamwork and accountability Professional Development
Furthers professional education and maintains knowledge of current regulations and standards, policies and procedures. Maintains up-to-date licensure/certification/registration in departmental file.
Minimum Qualifications Education: Associates degree, Allied Health. Bachelors degree preferred. Experience: 1 year of experience working as a Radiologic Technologist Licensure/ Certifications: 1. RT/CT registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT). 2. Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT certification. 3. BLS certification.
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
