The Role at a glance:

The Clinical Nutrition & Food Service Manager is responsible for leading nutrition services, wellness initiatives, regulatory compliance, and foodservice operations within a premier clinical research environment. This role serves as the primary onsite nutrition resource while overseeing dining operations, client relationships, and team leadership. The position offers a unique opportunity to combine nutrition expertise with operational management in support of research participants, wellness outcomes, and exceptional hospitality experiences.

What you'll be doing:

Nutrition & Wellness Leadership

  1. Serve as the onsite nutrition subject matter expert.
  2. Support nutrition-related protocols and dietary requirements associated with clinical research studies.
  3. Ensure compliance with dietary guidelines, food allergy requirements, and special dietary accommodations.
  4. Collaborate with client stakeholders to ensure dietary services align with research participant needs and study requirements.
  5. Provide education and consultation on healthy eating and nutrition-related topics as needed.

Operational Leadership

  1. Oversee daily foodservice and hospitality operations.
  2. Ensure exceptional food quality, customer service, sanitation, and safety standards.
  3. Lead and develop frontline associates and supervisors.
  4. Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Client Partnership

  1. Build strong relationships with client leadership and stakeholders.
  2. Act as the primary point of contact for nutrition and foodservice-related matters.
  3. Respond proactively to client feedback and service opportunities.

Financial Management

  1. Manage budgets, forecasting, labor planning, purchasing, and inventory controls.
  2. Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining service quality.

Compliance & Food Safety

  1. Maintain compliance with state and local regulations, HACCP standards, and company policies.
  2. Lead preparation for inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews.
  3. Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety programs.

What we're looking for:

Required

  1. Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum two years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience in nutrition services, healthcare dining, foodservice, clinical nutrition, senior living, hospitality or related environments.
  3. Experience managing teams and interacting with clients or stakeholders.
  4. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  5. ServSafe Manager Certification or ability to obtain.

Strongly Preferred

  1. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential.
  2. Experience in healthcare, clinical research, hospital, senior living, or wellness-focused environments.
  3. Knowledge of therapeutic diets, allergen management, and nutrition compliance requirements.
  4. Experience leading nutrition education or wellness initiatives.

Compensation Range

$75,000 - $80,000 plus bonus
