Production Scheduler/Optimizer

Who You Are:

This position will work closely with Customer Service, Materials and Production to maximize industrial production while helping to maintain efficient and steady production flow.

What You Will Be Doing:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

  • Develop production schedules in order to meet productivity, cost efficiency targets, and inventory goals.
  • Closely monitor work orders and capacity to ensure orders will be completed on time.
  • Coordinate and fully cooperate with and support Production, Sales, Customer Service and Materials Control.
  • Take orders from inside sales.
  • Communicate with internal customers daily.
  • Use computer applications to optimize layouts/patterns.
  • Use independent judgment to decide if patterns have used enough space.
  • Assign orders for departments and make labels for each piece.
  • Conduct analysis of production forecast to maintain stock levels based on replenish-to-order inventory plan.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Skills You Bring:

MINIMUM SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS include the following:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office software.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 year of Capacity Scheduler/Planner (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing software (AX) a plus.
  • Regular and predictable attendance, safe performance of tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the job.
