Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Fleet & Heavy Mechanic Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a fleet, diesel, or heavy equipment mechanic
- Strong skills in diesel and hydraulic troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with construction equipment and commercial vehicles
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage repair priorities
- Valid driver’s license (CDL A or B is a plus)
- Own tools preferred
Fleet & Heavy Mechanic
- Experience with both commercial fleet vehicles and heavy construction equipment
- Welding or metal fabrication abilities
- ASE or related mechanic certifications
- Knowledge of DOT inspection standards
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and a diverse commercial vehicle fleet
- Perform preventive maintenance on loaders, excavators, tri-axle trucks, and service vehicles
- Troubleshoot and address issues with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and brake systems
- Maintain detailed service records and repair documentation
- Complete shop-based and occasional field service assignments
- Support safe, compliant fleet operations through diligent repairs and inspections
