Full job description

A leading academic medical center in Boston is recruiting an Oncology Hospitalist to provide inpatient care for patients with cancer and complex medical needs.

The Opportunity

  • Manage hospitalized oncology patients in close collaboration with medical oncologists, subspecialists, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, and palliative care teams.

  • Evaluate acute medical issues, treatment complications, infections, symptom burden, and other complex inpatient needs.

  • Support safe transitions among inpatient, outpatient, and specialty oncology settings.

  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary model focused on high-quality, patient-centered cancer care.

  • Teaching, quality improvement, and academic participation may be available based on qualifications and interest.

Candidate Qualifications

  • MD or DO with completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency.

  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.

  • Relevant oncology hospitalist, inpatient oncology, or hematology/oncology experience strongly preferred.

  • Eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
