Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2360 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a South Carolina license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Qualivis Program - MUSC Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Qualivis Program - MUSC Health.

Additional Details:

If your start date is within 90 days, you must complete all labs within 72 hours of signing an offer with MUSC.

Preferred Skills/Experience: 3 years of experience highly preferred. Bladder scan preferred. Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Unit Details: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. MedSurg/General Surgery unit; general surgery patients comprise 80% of the population. Common cases include thyroidectomy, mastectomy, hiatal hernia, cholecystectomy, colon resection, nephrectomy, hysterectomy, bladder sling, penile implants, Cysto/TURBT, MVA/blunt trauma, debridement/skin graft, and GI bleed. Rounds with surgeon.

Shift & Scheduling: Manager will accept 3x12s or 4x12s, 7p-730a; 4x12 preferred. Every other weekend. Holiday rotation. Call rotation. Candidates who are able to work holidays are a priority.

Special Requests: RTO is due at time of submission. Approval is based on unit needs. Any candidate that has 7+ days and/or includes holiday RTO will have to be submitted to the facility for approval and can delay the process. During hurricane season (June through November; peak August-September), travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams. If unavailable for emergency response duties, please do not confirm new assignments or extensions during this period.

Floating Requirements: Will float within scope to meet facility needs.
