Job Description:
SCOPE: To provide the best possible care to our patients by assisting patients and providers with outgoing referrals. Work autonomously with little instruction and be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time. Treat patients with compassion and kindness during every interaction.
FUNCTIONS:
1. Send referrals electronically.
2. Close the loop. (Verify patient is scheduled to be seen).
3. Upload Documentation from Specialist Visit.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years’ experience in medical office preferred
• Knowledge of patient registration process highly preferred
• Must be able to work independently, possess strong organizational and communication skills and to adhere to established goals and deadlines
• ICD-9/10 and CPT coding a plus
