Shipping Associate

GSE Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Associate to support shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Shipping Coordinator with all aspects of the shipping process.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments in accordance with best commercial practices, customer requirements, and applicable MIL-STD packaging requirements.
• Assist with MIL-STD 129R and other military packaging and labeling requirements.
• Prepare shipping labels, documentation, dispatches, and other required shipping records.
• Work with shipping and packaging systems, including MIL-PAC labeling systems.
• Schedule shipments and coordinate logistics with carriers, vendors, and customers.
• Track incoming and outgoing shipments and provide updates to applicable departments, including Contracts and Purchasing.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipping and logistics requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, including weights, dimensions, photographs, shipping documentation, and other required information.
• Manage and maintain inventory levels of shipping materials and supplies.
• Load and unload parts, materials, and packages using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when qualified.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient shipping and receiving work environment.
• Assist the department with other shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, logistics, or a related role preferred.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately maintain electronic and written records.
• Basic math, measurement, and recordkeeping skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written procedures, customer requirements, and applicable health and safety regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with multiple departments.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or another quality-controlled environment.
• Experience with military packaging and labeling requirements, including MIL-STD-129.
• Experience using MIL-PAC or similar shipping and labeling systems.
• Forklift experience or certification.
• Experience with inventory control, material handling, kitting, or logistics coordination.
• Experience working with shipping carriers, customer portals, and shipping documentation.

Salary Range: $20.00 per hour – $26.00 per hour

This is an estimated salary range with any actual compensation offers to be dependent upon factors including experience, skill set, qualifications, and other factors allowed by law.
