Position Summary


As a Neuro ICU Registered Nurse, you will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients experiencing neurological and neurosurgical conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injuries, seizures, brain tumors, and spinal cord injuries. You will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

What You'll Do


  • Assess, monitor, and care for critically ill neurological patients
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and neurological assessments
  • Monitor and manage ventilated patients and advanced life-support equipment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery expectations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition

Qualifications


  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or Compact State Licensure
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to obtain within established timeframe
