Human Resources Business Partner Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university strongly preferred
- 2+ years of relevant human resources experience
- General knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR systems; experience with payroll databases
- Strong partnership and communication skills for collaborating with managers and supervisors
Human Resources Business Partner Preferred Background & Skills
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to interpret safety rules and operating manuals
- Demonstrated mentoring or supervisory experience
Human Resources Business Partner Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Partner with operations leaders to drive positive employee relations and retention strategies
- Advise and support managers and supervisors on HR matters
- Mentor and review assignments for HR Assistant
- Lead recruitment, orientation, and training for all new employees
- Oversee safety programs, compliance, and OSHA recordkeeping
- Administer employee benefits programs and handle related inquiries
- Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports for management review
- Support workers’ compensation protocols and assist with claim administration
