Full job description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Windows Server & VMware Administrator to manage, maintain, and support enterprise infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration, VMware vSphere, PowerShell automation, and infrastructure compliance within regulated environments.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Windows Server environments.
- 5+ years of experience with VMware vSphere administration, including virtual infrastructure management and support.
- Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation for system administration tasks.
- Experience supporting infrastructure in regulated industries with strict compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with NERC CIP regulations and related cybersecurity compliance standards.
- Experience with Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent technical experience.
- VMware certifications such as VCP, VCAP, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure across enterprise environments.
- Manage VMware vSphere platforms, including virtual machines, hosts, and related components.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate operational tasks and improve efficiency.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Ensure infrastructure systems meet security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Support audit activities and maintain documentation related to compliance standards.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to resolve technical issues.
- Implement best practices for system reliability, availability, and security.
