Brown & Brown is seeking an Executive Assistant to join our growing team in Houston, TX.

Brown & Brown Insurance is looking for a sharp, highly organized Executive Assistant to support the Profit Center Leader at our Houston, TX office. As one of the largest insurance brokerages in the country — publicly traded, with a nationwide footprint — we've kept an entrepreneurial, locally-driven culture where your work is visible, and your judgment matters.

If you're the person who anticipates the need before it's spoken, keeps a dozen plates spinning without dropping one, and treats confidentiality as second nature, we'd love to meet you.

The ideal candidate will provide top-level assistance for high-level executives. They should be well-organized and comfortable in scheduling meetings and responding to emails on the executive's behalf. Lastly, this individual should be able to draft documents and help the executive with any necessary meeting preparations.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between leadership, sales teams, customers, carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders

  • Manage the executive's calendar, travel, meetings, and communications

  • Create presentations, reports, and business correspondence with a high degree of autonomy

  • Coordinate customer, sales, and internal events end to end — logistics, vendors, catering, travel, registrations, recognition programs, and employee engagement

  • Track projects, milestones, licenses, certifications, expenses, and budgets

  • Prepare and analyze reports, expense documentation, and financial records with strict accuracy and confidentiality

  • Manage office hospitality and employee appreciation initiatives

  • Independently juggle competing priorities and special projects, exercising sound judgment throughout

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant preferred

  • A basic understanding of insurance and business terminology is a plus

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • AMS360 experience, or the ability to pick up new software quickly

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and telephone skills

  • A high level of discretion and a professional, courteous demeanor
