<p style="text-align:center">Volt is immediately hiring <b>Plating Technician 3</b><b> </b>for a local leading Manufacturing Company in <b>Kearny Mesa Ca</b>.</p> <p>As a<b> Plating Technician 3</b> you will:</p> <p><b>Job Description</b></p> <ul> <li><b>Day to Day Responsibilities</b></li> <li>Preparing surfaces for plating, including cleaning, polishing, and sandblasting</li> <li>Selecting appropriate plating materials and chemicals based on the desired finish and application requirements.</li> <li>Setting up and maintaining plating equipment, such as tanks, pumps, and power supplies.</li> <li>Monitoring and adjusting plating parameters, such as voltage, temperature, and current density, to achieve desired results</li> <li>Conducting tests to ensure that plated parts meet quality standards, such as adhesion, corrosion resistance, and thickness</li> <li>Troubleshooting equipment issues and making necessary repairs or adjustments.</li> <li>Maintaining accurate records of plating operations, including usage of chemicals, time spent on each task, and any issues encountered.</li> <li>Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations related to plating operations</li> <li>Perform any other related duties as required or assigned</li> </ul> <p>This is a <b>Full-Time temp-to-hire</b> Opportunity</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have:</p> <ul> <li><b>Required Skills & Qualifications</b> <ul> <li>Requires a high school education or equivalent (GED)</li> <li>Requires 5+ years of experience working in a plating or electroplating facility.</li> <li>Experience working with various plating materials and chemicals, as well as experience with plating equipment and tools.</li> <li>Strong technical skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications</li> <li>Knowledge of chemical safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain plating equipment.</li> <li>Good communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team.</li> <li>Meet ITAR US Person requirements </li> </ul> </li> <li><b>Preferred Skills & Qualifications</b> <ul> <li>Prefer post-secondary education, such as an associate degree in chemistry or a related field</li> <li>Certification in plating or electroplating from a recognized industry organization is a plus.</li> <li>Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><b>Schedule</b>: 1^st shift - Monday ~ Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM</p> <p><b>Pay Rate:</b> $21.00 - $23.00 per hour DOE</p> <p>*Pay Rate offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. </p> <p>Qualified candidates should <b>APPLY NOW </b>for immediate consideration!
