Field Nurse Case Manager – Workers’ Compensation
Salary Range: $110,000 – $115,000 per year
Bonus / Commission: This role is eligible for a bonus and/or commission structure. A summary of the commission plan will be provided during the interview process.
Location: Fresno, CA
Field-Based / Local Travel Required

Position Summary
RCM Healthcare Services is recruiting an experienced Field Nurse Case Manager for a direct hire opportunity supporting injured workers throughout the Los Angeles area.
The Field Nurse Case Manager will coordinate medical treatment and rehabilitation services, attend physician appointments, communicate with healthcare providers and other stakeholders, and help facilitate safe and appropriate return-to-work outcomes. This opportunity offers a smaller, more manageable caseload, allowing the nurse case manager to focus on quality case management and individualized support rather than high file volume.
Responsibilities
Schedule / Shift

  • Full-time
  • Field-based throughout the Los Angeles area
  • Local travel required
  • Flexible schedule based on appointments and case needs
Key Duties
  • Manage a smaller, manageable caseload of workers’ compensation cases.
  • Assess injured workers and coordinate medical treatment and rehabilitation services.
  • Attend medical appointments and provide ongoing assessment of the injured worker’s progress.
  • Communicate with physicians, therapists, employers, adjusters, insurance representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate modified-duty and return-to-work recommendations based on medical restrictions.
  • Advocate for injured workers and assist them in understanding treatment plans and physician recommendations.
  • Prepare monthly reports, case documentation, billing, and required records.
  • Maintain timely and professional communication throughout the life of each case.
These duties align with the client’s position, which includes attending medical appointments, coordinating care, working with employers on modified duty, communicating with stakeholders, and maintaining monthly reporting and documentation.
Requirements
Education
  • Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program required
Licenses & Certifications
  • Active California Registered Nurse license required
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification preferred
Experience
  • Previous nurse case management experience required
  • Workers’ compensation or occupational health experience strongly preferred
  • Field case management, rehabilitation, hospital, or related clinical experience preferred
The client’s original requirements include an RN license and prior case management experience, preferably in workers’ compensation or occupational health, with CCM preferred.
