Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a Strategic Communications Lead to support a high-visibility cybersecurity mission-support program. This role will lead the development and execution of communication strategies that improve collaboration, information sharing, stakeholder engagement, and mission awareness across a large cybersecurity organization.
The Strategic Communications Lead will work closely with customer leadership, program managers, cybersecurity subject-matter experts, and Government stakeholders to translate complex technical and operational information into clear, compelling, and actionable communications. The successful candidate will help ensure that the right information reaches the right audience at the right time through effective briefings, reports, presentations, internal communications, training materials, and engagement activities.

You’ll be joining Parsons’ local Analytics & Engineering team, a community known for its strong culture of defensive cyber operations, technical excellence, and collaboration. What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and execute strategic communication plans aligned with customer priorities, mission objectives, and program goals.
- Establish communication processes, standards, templates, and best practices for the program.
- Develop executive-level briefings, talking points, presentations, newsletters, fact sheets, reports, and other communication products.
- Translate complex cybersecurity, security, HR, legal, and program-management information into clear communications for technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Support recurring Government and contractor meetings, including agendas, briefings, decision documentation, action-item tracking, and meeting minutes.
- Coordinate communications across the Security, Human Resources, Judge Advocate, and Program Management functions.
- Support the development and presentation of monthly status reports, program updates, milestone briefings, and performance summaries.
- Prepare communications related to risks, issues, corrective actions, schedule impacts, staffing changes, and Government actions required.
- Develop stakeholder engagement strategies to improve collaboration, information sharing, and organizational alignment.
- Support training, security-awareness, workforce-development, and change-management communications.
- Assist with transition-in and transition-out communications, including stakeholder updates, knowledge transfer, and continuity planning.
- Maintain communication calendars, distribution lists, stakeholder maps, content libraries, and document repositories.
- Review communications products for accuracy, consistency, accessibility, appropriate security markings, and compliance with customer requirements.
- Coordinate with subject-matter experts to validate technical content and ensure communications accurately represent program activities and outcomes.
- Measure communication effectiveness using engagement data, feedback, participation rates, and other relevant metrics.
- Identify communication gaps and recommend improvements to increase transparency, stakeholder awareness, and mission effectiveness.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- TS/SCI clearance current'/active
- 8+ years of strategic communications experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, English, public administration, cybersecurity, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience developing communication plans, executive briefings, presentations, reports, and stakeholder communications.
- Experience communicating complex technical, cybersecurity, Government, or operational topics to diverse audiences.
- Strong writing, editing, visual-design, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple communication products, deadlines, stakeholders, and competing priorities.
- Experience collaborating with senior leaders and technical subject-matter experts.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other collaboration or content-management tools.
- Ability to review and handle sensitive information in accordance with applicable security, privacy, and information-management requirements.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Experience supporting Air Force, intelligence community, federal, or other national-security customers.
- Experience developing communications for classified, controlled unclassified information, or sensitive mission environments.
- Experience with program-management communications, performance-based contracts, risk communications, and executive reporting.
- Experience with SharePoint, Adobe Creative Cloud, Power BI, Microsoft Teams, or similar tools.
- Experience with accessibility requirements, including Section 508.
- Experience developing internal campaigns, employee-engagement programs, training communications, or organizational-change communications.
- Experience measuring communications effectiveness through surveys, analytics, stakeholder feedback, or engagement metrics.
- Professional certification in strategic communications, public relations, change management, project management, or a related field.
