AI Solutions Architect
About the Role
The AI Solutions Architect is responsible for identifying, designing, developing, and implementing AI-powered and automation-driven solutions that transform business processes and improve performance across the Health & Medical organization. This role combines deep technical expertise with commercial business acumen to transform business challenges into scalable digital solutions that create measurable value.
Working closely with business stakeholders, commercial operations teams, data and analytics professionals, and the global AI Center of Excellence, the AI Solutions Architect will develop innovative solutions that enhance productivity, improve decision-making, streamline processes, and unlock new capabilities across Commercial Operations, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Contracts & Pricing, Strategic Accounts, and other business functions.
This position serves as a key technical leader for AI innovation within the U.S. Health & Medical business while ensuring solutions are designed with scalability, governance, and enterprise alignment in mind, enabling successful adoption across regions and business units where appropriate.

What You Will Do
Drive AI Innovation and Business Transformation
- Identify high-value opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced analytics to improve business outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate business processes and workflows to uncover opportunities for transformation, automation, and optimization.
- Translate complex business challenges into scalable technical solutions that deliver measurable value.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and industry trends to identify innovative applications within the business.
- Develop and lead training, enablement, and knowledge-sharing programs that build AI capabilities across the organization and empower teams to effectively adopt, support, and scale AI solutions.
Design and Deliver Scalable Solutions
- Design, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions, intelligent automation, and advanced analytics applications.
- Be accountable for ensuring AI, automation, and analytics outputs are fit for purpose before business use by defining and implementing appropriate validation, testing, monitoring, traceability, and human-review controls that address accuracy, reliability, reproducibility, and documented limitations.
- Build proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and production-ready solutions using modern AI, cloud, and automation technologies.
- Develop scalable architectures that balance speed, flexibility, security, maintainability, and enterprise standards.
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing business processes, applications, and reporting platforms.
- Ensure solutions are designed for reuse and scalability across markets, regions, and business functions whenever possible.
- Structure outputs and insights with clear business context, assumptions, confidence or limitations, and recommended actions so stakeholders can make informed decisions without over-relying on automated results.
Provide Technical Leadership
- Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert for AI and automation initiatives within the Health & Medical business.
- Provide technical guidance and best practices related to AI solution design, architecture, development, and deployment.
- Partner with analytics, automation, IT, and business teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions.
- Establish and promote standards for solution development, documentation, maintainability, and support.
Collaborate Across the Organization
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define success metrics, and prioritize opportunities.
- Partner with the global AI Center of Excellence to align local initiatives with enterprise AI strategy, governance, architecture standards, and technology roadmaps.
- Share successful solutions, best practices, and reusable components that can benefit other regions and business units.
- Work cross-functionally with commercial operations, analytics, digital, and technology teams to accelerate AI adoption and value realization.
- Collaborate with the global AI Center of Excellence, data governance teams, data owners, and stewards to co-develop and operationalize practical data and AI governance guidance, controls, and reusable standards.
- Ensure that data ownership and stewardship responsibilities are defined for each solution, with clear requirements for data quality, metadata, business definitions, lineage, access, retention, and issue resolution.
Ensure Long-Term Success and Governance
- Apply and enforce applicable company policies, security and privacy requirements, data governance standards, and responsible AI principles throughout the solution lifecycle, escalating exceptions and unresolved risks to the appropriate governance bodies.
- Conduct and document proportionate AI risk assessments covering fairness and bias, transparency and explainability, human oversight, privacy, security, regulatory and legal requirements, and potential business or user harm.
- Implement risk-mitigation measures such as approved-tool and data-use controls, traceability, access controls, human-in-the-loop review, performance and drift monitoring, incident escalation, and periodic reassessment.
- Monitor performance and effectiveness of deployed solutions, driving continuous improvement and optimization.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, platforms, and tools that support the organization's AI strategy.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
- 7+ years of experience in analytics, software development, data engineering, automation, AI, solution architecture, or related technical disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering business-focused technology solutions from concept through deployment.
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of modern data, analytics, cloud, and software development practices.
- Working knowledge of data quality, metadata, lineage, stewardship, privacy, security, and responsible AI practices, including validation, bias and risk assessment, human oversight, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing AI, machine learning, generative AI, or intelligent automation solutions.
- Experience supporting commercial operations, sales, marketing, customer service, contracts and pricing, or related business functions.
- Experience working in healthcare, medical products, consumer goods, manufacturing, or highly regulated industries.
- Experience leading technical workstreams for enterprise transformation or digital innovation initiatives.
- Demonstrated success delivering solutions with measurable business impact.
