Full job description
This role is responsible for Red Bull’s Player roster, which consists of professional gamers, esports organizations, and content creators. Working closely with the Gaming Player Marketing team, you’ll drive the development of talent strategy, scouting, relationship management, and high-impact activations, serving as the gaming and talent subject matter expert across the organization. You’ll lead cross-functional collaboration across teams including Advertising, Brand Campaigns, Athlete Marketing, Media Network, Communications, Field Marketing, etc. You’ll be expected to build and maintain high-touch relationships with our Players and their teams, while empowering them to bring their ideas and creativity to life. You will also identify emerging talent, develop long-term partnership strategies, and drive new opportunities to maximize the impact of the roster across Red Bull’s broader business and marketing objectives.
PLAYER MARKETING & MANAGEMENT
Lead the identification, evaluation, and recruitment of Players across professional gaming, esports organizations, and content creation, balancing established talent with emerging Players who align with Red Bull’s brand and long-term strategy.
Negotiate agreements covering performance expectations, content and social media commitments, compensation, branding rights, and schedules.
Onboard new gaming and esports athletes, providing brand, product, and communications training, and setting performance goals.
Own day-to-day communication and relationship management with Players and their teams, serving as a trusted point of contact to align on upcoming activations, deliverables, content plans, events, and long-term partnership opportunities while ensuring plans are executed seamlessly.
Monitor the health and performance of the Player roster, providing feedback and guidance for performance improvement.
Drive ideation of innovative Player project ideas, giving Players Wiiings to bring their ideas and creativity to life.
Stay informed on global and local gaming trends, titles, teams, and stakeholders to shape comprehensive marketing strategies.
Serve as a primary link for the gaming program, ensuring alignment with all stakeholders and partners.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Lead the strategic development and execution of high-impact Player gaming projects and events, driving innovation to keep Red Bull at the forefront of the gaming landscape.
Own end-to-end project management for key Player gaming initiatives, from long-term strategic planning and concept development through execution, ensuring alignment with broader business and marketing objectives.
Translate Player ideas, passions, and creative concepts into strategic Red Bull projects, developing the scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and execution plans needed to bring them to life.
Own Player gaming project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and resourcing across Player initiatives, proactively identifying risks and dependencies and driving solutions to keep projects on track.
Cross-functional collaboration with Red Bull Media Network team to align gaming content objectives and explore new content opportunities.
Support regional Player project activation strategy and execution, ensuring projects meet Red Bull’s standards for quality, creativity, and brand integration.
Identify and activate cross-functional opportunities for Players, connecting the roster to broader Red Bull campaigns, events, sports properties, media opportunities, and brand initiatives.
Manage external partners and internal resources supporting the Player program, including agencies, talent managers, and cross-functional teams, to ensure strategic priorities are aligned and executed effectively.
- 5+ years of experience in gaming, esports, talent, or entertainment marketing, including significant experience managing high-profile talent, partnerships, and complex projects.
- Strong understanding and industry relationships across the gaming and esports ecosystem, including major game titles and publishers/developers, professional Players and teams, leagues, tournaments, creators, and other key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to develop and lead talent and partnership strategies, balancing the needs of Players with broader brand, business, and marketing objectives.
- Strong strategic and project management skills, with demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from ideation through execution and measurement.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with some of the biggest names in gaming while effectively influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders who may not be endemic to the industry.
This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $85,600 -$128,400 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
