Job Title: Physician - Associate Chief of Staff Geriatrics and Extended Care
Location: Martinez, California
Agency: Veterans Health Administration
Work Schedule: Full-Time
Appointment Type: Permanent
Salary Range: Competitive salary commensurate with experience

Duties:
- Leadership of Geriatrics and Extended Care (GEC) services, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Strategic planning and oversight of clinical programs including Geriatrics, Hospice, Palliative care, and Community Living Centers.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to enhance geriatric care and address the needs of aging veterans.
- Implementation of policies, protocols, and standards in line with the VHA mission.
- Supervision, mentorship, and training of medical staff and healthcare professionals within the GEC service line.
- Improvement of healthcare outcomes through quality improvement initiatives and data-driven decision-making.
- Representing the GEC service on various committees and working groups.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Board certification in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine.
- Valid medical license to practice in the United States.
- Minimum of five years of clinical practice, with experience in geriatrics and extended care.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
