We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Consulting Admixture Pharmacy Technician to join our diverse healthcare team. This unique role requires a combination of technical skills, clinical knowledge, and a passion for improving patient care. You will be part of a collaborative team that provides comprehensive healthcare services, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of inpatient experience, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Consulting Admixture Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:

1. Preparing and dispensing medication under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, following strict safety protocols.
2. Accurately mixing and measuring medication, maintaining meticulous records of dosages and instructions.
3. Assisting in the development and implementation of pharmacy procedures and best practices to improve patient outcomes.
4. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize drug therapy for patients.
5. Providing medication and healthcare-related advice to patients, ensuring they understand their medication therapy and any potential side effects.
6. Participating in quality assurance and improvement activities, identifying opportunities for improvement in medication use processes.
7. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments in the field of pharmacy, including new drugs, therapies, and technologies.
8. Ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations relating to the practice of pharmacy.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Consulting Admixture Pharmacy Technician position, you must have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an inpatient setting.
2. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from an accredited program.
3. Proficiency in pharmacy systems and software.
4. A strong understanding of pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, and pharmacology.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, understandable manner.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
7. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
8. A high level of integrity and a strong commitment to patient safety and privacy.
