Actuarial Intern

Internships will run from mid-May to early August

Interviews and hiring decisions expect to be completed prior to mid-November, with some being completed as early as late September. Qualified candidates must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for Fall term 2027.

Accountabilities:

• Compiling data to be used in actuarial models. 
• Calculating rates and performing pricing analysis. 
• Assisting in preparation of product filings and/or financial statements. 
• Automating and streamlining processes. 
• Documenting and compiling assumptions, methodologies and procedures. 
• Communicating results, conclusions and recommendations to management. 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Pursuit of four-year degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, finance or other related field required. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively meet deadlines. 
• Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships. 
• Commitment to actuarial exam process and attainment of FSA designation. 
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, computer programming and/or actuarial modeling software preferable.
• Experience with AI tools is preferred.
