Our client in Michigan seeks a locum Cardiovascular Surgeon for two weeks, providing outpatient care, surgeries, and inpatient rounds. The role involves call duties and is ongoing until a permanent candidate is found.
Requirements
- Experience in cardiovascular surgery
- Perform CABGs and open-heart cases
- Full medical license in Michigan
- Availability for two weeks
- Experience with inpatient rounding
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Board-certified in cardiothoracic surgery
- Valid medical license in Michigan
- Good communication skills
Full job description
Dates of Coverage:
- July 17 & 18 for Orientation
-July - August
Clinic, Call, or Both:
-Outpatient visits
Surgery call
-Inpatient rounding
Schedule:
-Full time schedule M-F (7 - 5pm), plus on-call.
-APPs take first call (ICU, Hospital floors, outpatients and ED)
-Immediate need and ongoing until perm is on board
Cases/Procedures:
-CABGs
-Bread and butter cases
-4 patients currently - all post open hearts
-15 open hearts since Jan 2023
