Base Pay: $20.00 - $26.00

The QA Technician at Cornerstone Building Brands is responsible for ensuring product quality, compliance with customer and company requirements, and adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) standards. Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, this position performs inspections, testing, audits, and documentation activities while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. Based on historical quality technician responsibilities, the role includes product verification, quality documentation, customer requirement compliance, and support of stable manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify product conformance.
  • Conduct product testing and document inspection results.
  • Monitor compliance with Critical to Quality (CTQ) requirements and standard work instructions.
  • Perform Layered Process Audits (LPA) and documentation reviews.
  • Support Non-Conformance Report (NCR), Corrective Failure Analysis (CFA), and Defect Material Report (DMR) processes.
  • Investigate quality issues and participate in root cause analysis activities.
  • Assist with containment activities and corrective action implementation.
  • Train production associates on quality standards, inspection methods, and customer requirements.
  • Utilize measuring devices including calipers, gauges, and specialized test equipment.
  • Support customer complaint investigations and verification activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, Kaizen, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Maintain audit readiness and support internal and external audits.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing, inspection, or quality experience preferred.
  • Experience with quality audits, inspections, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of quality tools, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, and procedures.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
