Our 30-bed Neurosurgical ICU provides specialized, high-acuity care to critically ill patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions. What We're Looking For:
  • Education:
    - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
    - 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
    - If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

  • Experience: One year of acute nursing experience required.

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:
    - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.

    - Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
What You'll Do:
  • Provide specialized care to critically ill neurological and neurosurgical patients, including those experiencing stroke, traumatic brain injury, seizures, neuromuscular disorders, intracranial hemorrhage, spinal cord injuries, and post-neurosurgical conditions.
  • Care for patients requiring advanced critical care interventions, including mechanical ventilation, titratable medications, intracranial pressure monitoring, external ventricular drains (EVDs), lumbar drains, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and other complex therapies.
  • Perform comprehensive neurological and physical assessments and recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
  • Partner closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons, intensivists, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Build your knowledge and confidence in caring for some of the most complex patients in critical care.
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment where teamwork, learning, and exceptional patient care are at the center of everything we do.
