Speech Language Pathologist
(4 Day School Week) 2026-2027

Hourly Rate: $55.00- 57.00 per hour (subject to change)
Location: Buckeye, AZ - Onsite

JOB GOAL
To provide direct or consultative services to students with identified disabilities related to speech and/or language in order to derive full benefit from the district's educational programs.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  1. Arizona Standard Speech-Language Certification
  2. MA in Speech/Language Pathology
  3. Certification of Clinical Competence
  4. Arizona Department of Health Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure
  5. Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  1. Assists and guides teachers in observing, describing, and referring students with suspected and identified speech and language impairments.
  2. Conducts a thorough screening, assessment and diagnosis of speech, voice, and language impairments; interprets results to parents and teachers and writes appropriate recommendations and reports.
  3. Develops, implements, and monitors IEPs for students eligible for speech and language services.
  4. Assists in proper referrals of individuals to agencies and specialists in the community, as
  5. Provides appropriate individualized programs of therapy to meet individual student's needs and correct existing speech and/or language dysfunction.
  6. Collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement therapy by suggestions for the student's daily activities.
  7. Provides information and support to parents and families when appropriate.
  8. Provides in-service education and serves as a consultant to teachers and school staff members on topics concerning speech services.
  9. Keeps thorough ongoing records for the individual student receiving therapy or other school provided speech services.
  10. Participates in professional growth activities and keeps abreast of new developments in the field.
  11. Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members and
  12. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
  13. Other job related duties as assigned.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
