Full job description
LOCATION: Toms River, NJ
SCHEDULE: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Wednesday - 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm). Schedule alternates between a 3-day work week (with a 4-day weekend!) and a 4-day work week with built-in overtime pay.
PAY RATE: $23-$25/Hour depending on experience, plus quarterly bonus.
PTO: 80 hours vacation, 40 hours sick, 10 paid holidays

Heyco is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector (Day A) to join our Quality team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in maintaining our quality standards by inspecting parts and materials received from suppliers, as well as products at various stages of the production process. Working under the guidance of the Quality Manager, you'll help ensure that every component meets the specifications our customers depend on. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas, and consult with management or engineering staff to determine required quality levels
- Select products for inspection at designated stages of the production process, evaluating dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics
- Inspect incoming parts from suppliers to verify correct part number, quantity, and dimensions
- Record inspection data accurately and apply statistical quality control procedures as needed
- Perform product verification by measuring characteristics against established standards and criteria
- Actively participate in team problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
- Continuously build your own skills and capabilities to support quality goals
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, or schematics
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Basic understanding of statistical quality control (SQC/SPC) a plus
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with management, engineering, and suppliers
- A proactive mindset toward continuous improvement
