RN Director
Job Summary:
The Ellicott City Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team in Ellicott City, Maryland. As a vital member of our leadership team, the DON will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, leading our nursing team, and promoting a culture of excellence throughout our center. Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and our center's policies and procedures
Develops and implements effective care plans, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, to meet the unique needs of each patient
Fosters a positive and supportive work environment, promoting open communication, teamwork, and professional development among nursing staff
Develops and manages the nursing budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective allocation of staff
Collaborates with other departments, including Therapy, Social Services, and Dietary, to ensure seamless delivery of patient care
Participates in quality improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
Recruits, hires, and mentors nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure ongoing professional growth and development
Requirements:
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland
Minimum of (insert minimum years of experience) years of experience as a nurse leader, preferably in a long-term care setting
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field; Master's degree preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on excellent patient care and customer service
