Access Control Technician

Staffworks Group is seeking an experienced Access Control Technician to join our growing team in Attleboro, MA. This role is ideal for a skilled Security Systems Technician with experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated gate systems, access control systems, and electronic security equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills and experience working with gate operators, keycard access systems, security controls, and related security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair automated gate systems and access control equipment
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on security systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot access control system malfunctions and gate operator issues
• Program access control systems and security devices according to customer requirements
• Provide technical support and system recommendations to customers
• Prepare detailed service reports and maintenance documentation
• Ensure all installations meet industry safety standards and security system best practices

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as an Access Control Technician, Security Technician, or Low Voltage Technician
• Knowledge of security systems, automated gates, access control systems, CCTV, and electronic security equipment
• Strong troubleshooting, electrical, and technical problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record check
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and travel to job sites in the Attleboro, MA area

Preferred Skills (a plus)

• Experience with low voltage wiring and security system installation
• Familiarity with card readers, keypads, gate operators, intercom systems, and surveillance systems
• Experience in commercial security system service or field technician roles
