Job Description

Conduct financial research and analysis regarding real estate supply, demand, pricing and investment parameters, including in-market interviews, data gathering and confirmation of comparable transactions as well as utilizing data subscription sources. Focus on overall project management execution and acting as the lead professional on client engagements, to actively contribute to the growth and development of company’s Real Estate Valuation and Advisory practice (REVS). Analyze real estate property operating statements, data property and portfolio data to estimate value/revenues, and costs and rates of return. Actively engage in client interactions, and networking with prospects to build revenue producing relationships, contributing to the development of new business. Present comprehensive analyses and conclusions internally and externally to our clients. Provide oversight to financial analysts and associates on a diverse range of real estate asset classes analyzing both real estate debt, equity and entity valuation. Up to 5% domestic travel for real estate site visits as part of an ongoing valuation engagement.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: 

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Real Estate, Architecture-Engineering-Construction Management, or a closely related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or any real estate analysis related job titles. 3 years of experience must include: (1) real estate financial analysis including identifying and analyzing comparable property sales and leases, (2) technical and cash flow modeling with Excel and ARGUS software to estimate revenues, costs, and investment performance (3) modeling property performance and waterfalls from property financial statements, debt instruments, ownership documents, budget and leases combined with market data (4) analyzing commercial property lease terms including expense treatments and adjustments to yield comparable rent amounts (5) mining data from the subscription data sources including CoStar, (6) preparing financial and investment reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.

Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:



$160,000 - $190,000



Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as the service line and location where this position may be filled.
