Join ClearEdge as a Software Engineer II, where you will design, build, and ship features across the full stack for one of our core AI-enabled products. You will work closely with internal and customer stakeholders to implement scalable, secure, high-performing UI and API features, including AI-assisted capabilities that support automated analysis and decision support.
You will build and maintain front-end and API layers using TypeScript, Python, and React as part of an Agile team, turning requirements into working, reliable software.
You Will Excel in This Role If You Are:
Skilled in TypeScript, Python, and/or ReactFluent with AI-native IDEs and comfortable using them as your default way of workingComfortable with hybrid (on-prem/cloud) and air-gapped deployment conceptsFamiliar with containers at a basic build/run levelComfortable across the software development lifecycle: requirements, design, testing, maintenanceExperienced with version control workflowsCapable of picking up new stacks quickly
A Day in the Life:
- Develop software implementing algorithms, data processing, and workflow features
- Perform technical analysis and implementation decisions on assigned features
- Build and extend UI, API, and data-exchange features
- Work in TypeScript, Python, and React, with tech like Postgres, RAG, and vector stores
- Apply best practices to ensure system quality & reliability
What We Are Expecting From You:
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance; U.S. citizenshipBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or similar (4 years of experience may substitute)3+ years of experience in the design, development, and deployment of software systemsFluency with AI-native IDEsWell-versed in at least one mainstream programming language — language is secondary; exposure to TypeScript, Python, and/or React is a strong fit for how we workProficient in the basics of several programming languages, computer system architecture, and operating systems/cloud conceptsUnderstanding of hybrid deployment concepts (on-prem and cloud), including air-gapped deploymentFamiliarity with containers (build/run basics at minimum)Familiarity with production cross-cutting basics: identity/SSO hooks, RBAC-aware UI/API behavior, audit-friendly logging, and relational + object storage patternsWell-versed across all phases of the software development lifecycle
Nice to Have:
Enterprise directory/SSO experienceDocument repository or workflow UI experienceExposure to systems operating under RMF/ATO constraints (e.g., audit logging, RBAC, secure config)Experience with physical security or facility accreditation practices, such as ICD 705 or similar frameworksFamiliarity with tools used by security and compliance teams
