Job Overview:

Job Responsibilities**

* Perform manual labor duties such as digging trenches, shoveling, and backfilling using hand tools and power equipment.
* Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utilities, including pipes, conduits, and cables.
* Operate and maintain various hand and power tools, including but not limited to shovels, picks, tampers, jackhammers, and compactors.
* Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and other vehicles.
* Clean and prepare job sites, including clearing debris and maintaining a safe work environment.
* Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Assist equipment operators and other crew members as needed.
* Perform flagging duties to direct traffic around work zones when required.
* Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor immediately.
* Work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.

Job Qualifications**

* High school diploma or GED preferred.
* Previous experience in construction, particularly in underground utility work, is a plus but not required.
* Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
* Must be able to work in confined spaces and at various heights.
* Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
