School Based Behavior Technician
26–27 School Year and Beyond
Location: Opportunities Across Multiple Districts
Schedule: Varies per assignment, typically Monday–Friday, school hours
Pay: $24–$27 per hour (based on assignment and experience)
Make a meaningful impact in schools while building a career you’re proud of. Ro Health is hiring dedicated Behavior Technicians (BTs) to support students across Massachusetts for the 2026–2027 school year and beyond.
As a BT, you’ll work directly with students in school settings, helping them build skills, navigate challenges, and make meaningful progress toward their individual goals. You’ll work alongside BCBAs, educators, and school teams to provide consistent, individualized support while gaining valuable experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Whether you’re an experienced Behavior Technician or looking to grow your career in ABA, Ro Health provides access to school-based opportunities, clinical support, professional development, and a team invested in your success.
What You’ll Do
- Provide 1:1 behavioral support to students using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and implement individualized treatment plans and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under BCBA guidance.
- Support students in working toward goals outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including behavior regulation, communication, social skills, independence, and academic engagement.
- Collect and accurately document data on student behavior and skill development and communicate observations with the BCBA and school team.
- Help students build independence across classroom routines, transitions, peer interactions, and learning activities.
- Use proactive, evidence-based strategies to reinforce positive behaviors and support students through challenging situations.
- Collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, and other school personnel to promote consistency across the student’s school environment.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and clinical supervision to strengthen your skills and support student progress.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards while working within the school environment.
Why Join Ro Health?
School-Based Opportunities. Work directly with students in school districts across Massachusetts, with opportunities that align with your experience, interests, and career goals.
Clinical Support. Receive ongoing guidance from experienced BCBAs and a dedicated team that supports you throughout your assignment, not just during onboarding.
Career Development. Build hands-on ABA experience through mentorship, training, and supervision, with opportunities to pursue RBT certification and grow into advanced behavioral and school-based roles.
Reliable Support. Have a dedicated team available to help you navigate your assignment, answer questions, and work through challenges that arise in the field.
Streamlined Onboarding. Receive hands-on support with credentialing, onboarding, and assignment requirements so you can focus on supporting your students.
Flexibility. Explore full-time and part-time opportunities with schedules that fit your availability and goals.
Competitive Pay & Benefits. Receive competitive, clearly communicated compensation along with access to medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits for eligible employees.
What You’ll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, or in a behavioral setting preferred.
- Experience in ABA or an RBT certification is preferred but not required for all opportunities.
- Ability to successfully complete required state and federal background checks and school-based credentialing requirements.
- Strong communication, reliability, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting students.
Make a Difference Every Day
As a Behavior Technician, the work you do can have a lasting impact on a student’s ability to communicate, learn, build relationships, and become more independent.
