The Operations Program Experience

If you’re ready for a general management training program that provides hands on operations, leadership, direct responsibility of a multi-unit P&L, then the Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) at Restaurant Brands International is your launchpad. This is a program designed for future corporate leaders within the RBI system . . . think Brand President, Country Manager, Vice President of Operations, or future franchisee.

Over three transformative years, you’ll get immersed in the FIREHOUSE SUBS® restaurant experience, develop the core leadership and operational skills needed to run high-performing teams, and grow into a future leader in one of the world’s most iconic QSR brands.

This is more than just mastering restaurant operations — it’s about owning results, learning fast, and making an impact on the guest experience, team culture, and restaurant performance.

Onboarding Week

Your RBI journey kicks off with a dedicated orientation where you’ll get to dive head-first into our culture at RBI, learn more about our business, brands and strategic plans, while learning new skills and honing existing ones.

Your First 6 Months – Restaurant Fundamentals (In-Restaurant)

Build a strong foundation in restaurant operations by learning every role in the restaurant, from Team Member through to Assistant Manager. Working alongside restaurant and operations leaders, you’ll develop a firsthand understanding of how to run a successful restaurant, deliver an exceptional guest experience, and uphold operational standards. You’ll also begin building your coaching, problem-solving, and leadership skills by supporting and developing new Team Members.

Year 1 – Restaurant General Management (In-Restaurant)

Step into the role of Restaurant General Manager, taking full responsibility for leading a restaurant and a team of 20+ people. You’ll drive restaurant performance by developing and executing improvement plans, building a high-performing team, and creating a consistently great guest experience. This phase will strengthen your leadership, commercial, and P&L management capabilities while giving you end-to-end accountability for people, operations, and results.

Year 2 – Above Restaurant Management

Build on your restaurant leadership experience by expanding your exposure to broader operations and business priorities. As an Above Restaurant Leader, you’ll work closely with Restaurant Support Center (RSC) and Operations Services partners to drive operational consistency and strengthen restaurant performance. You’ll gain greater exposure to strategic operations and Brand leadership while building the skills to lead through others and deliver results across the business.

Own Your Career

After completing your OLDP journey, you’ll be equipped with a deep understanding of how great operations drive guest experience, and how to lead teams to deliver excellence every day. And this is just the beginning — your future path could include roles in Field Operations, working with restaurants across the country to deliver an amazing guest experience or Restaurant Support Center Operations in areas like training, standards, innovation and more!
