Full job description

Position Summary

The entry level Bench/Hydro role is responsible for removing irregularities, surplus metal-ragged edges, burrs, etc., from parts.

Principal Activities

Prepare for and test subject parts to varying pressures
Remove burrs, fins, core wire, sand, and irregularities from unmachined surfaces of various parts by filing, grinding
Clean/wash parts
Use hand and power grinders, scrapers, files, buffing equipment, vibratory tumbling machine, and media
High pressure washer, holding, and clamping devices, wrenches, pressure gages, water, air, sealing solutions, hoist-operated cranes, and other lifting equipment
Utilize multi-function electric or air-crane (where available) to lift, move, load, and unload parts to perform work center functions
Properly fill out all paperwork and keep good housekeeping

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Required to follow written and verbal instructions
Self-driven and able to self-manage
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
Lift, pull, push. Continuously, walk/move from one machine to as many as three
Physically, load and unload parts

Education & Experience

1 - 3 years of manufacturing and/or machining experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
