Full job description
Head of School (Montessori Director) — Mansfield
Lead the Movement to Reinvent Education
Guidepost Montessori is looking for a bold, driven leader to become our next Head of School in the Mansfield area — and help build something extraordinary along the way.
Guidepost Montessori is a community of educators who believe today's traditional education system is broken: outdated, rigid, and out of step with what kids actually need to thrive. Our answer is an education model built for independence — one that grows confident, capable, action-oriented thinkers and change agents from the very first years of life. We're moving fast to bring authentic, high-fidelity Montessori programs to more communities, not only across the U.S., but around the globe. This is your chance to be part of that momentum.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a leader who's genuinely passionate about the Montessori method, with the drive and staying power to grow enrollment fast, build a team people are proud to join, earn the trust of a strong parent community, and make sure every classroom delivers an exceptional experience for every child. As Head of School, you'll set the tone, the pace, and the standard for your entire campus.
You'll get to:
- Craft and drive a bold strategic plan for your campus
- Build a culture that brings our mission to life, every single day
- Grow a tight-knit community among staff, parents, and children
- Champion the delivery of an exceptional Montessori program
- Own your campus's profitability, including full budget management
- Team up with your Assistant Head of School to hit ambitious enrollment goals
- Hire, support, develop, and lead an outstanding teaching staff
What We Offer
- Real, ongoing professional development
- A supportive network of peers and mentors who share what's working
- Genuine career growth and promotion opportunities
- A competitive salary
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- A 75% tuition discount for two children at any school in our network (we serve children 3 months through 6 years old)
- The chance to help shape a program that meets every child exactly where they are
What You Bring
- Director-qualified credentials
- Leadership experience in early childhood education
- Sharp organizational skills, close attention to detail, and a relentless focus on results
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A gift for building a warm, caring team culture
- Strong leadership instincts — and the courage to make tough calls with limited information
- A genuine passion for getting education right through Montessori pedagogy
Bonus Points If You Have
- Hands-on teaching experience in an early childhood education setting
- Experience as an Admissions, Administrative, Program, or School Director for a preschool
- Familiarity with the Montessori method — or a Montessori certification
Ready to lead the change? We'd love to hear from you.
