Job Description:

Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our Coagulation Lab in Pittsburg.

Salary: $32.17 / hour

Schedule: Days PT 8:00 AM- 4:30PM (24 hours week-3 shifts/week)

No weekends, No holidays, No on call

Location: Coagulation-We Will Train!

As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to:

  • Performs routine and specialized coagulation testing according to established laboratory procedures.

  • Performs testing including PT/INR, aPTT, fibrinogen, D-dimer, and thrombin time.

  • Performs and evaluates mixing studies and other follow-up testing for abnormal coagulation results.

  • Performs coagulation factor assays and von Willebrand testing as applicable to laboratory services.

  • Performs routine instrument maintenance, calibration, reagent preparation, and quality control.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Science degree required (Biology, Chemistry, etc).

Lab experience preferred.
