This is a major regional tertiary care and teaching hospital providing a broad range of inpatient services. The facility features more than 500 beds spanning inpatient, behavioral health, rehabilitation, and transitional care settings. Established clinical infrastructure and protocols are in place to support neurosurgical call coverage throughout all assigned periods.

Pennsylvania offers a variety of regional attractions and outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the year, including cultural events, historical sites, parks, and rural landscapes. Clinicians on assignment will find accessible options for leisure and exploration suited to a range of interests and preferences.

The neurosurgeon will provide 24-hour on-site call coverage for neurological surgery services at this inpatient facility, with shifts running 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Primary responsibilities include responding to STAT/Trauma consults within 30 minutes and routine consults within 24 hours. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, and clinicians must maintain continuous on-site availability for surgical interventions throughout all assigned call periods. Board certification in neurological surgery is negotiable for consideration.
