New consults typically 10 per day or less -- total service avg 25 - 30
Hospital rounds and consults -- inpatient setting with ICU coverage
Acute care NP on site for overnight shifts
Vent management, bronchoscopies, arterial and central lines required
Ongoing leave coverage -- multiple date blocks needed
Board certified in pulmonology and critical care required
Fewer than 10 overnight calls -- rarely requires physical return
