Machine Operator

Our client, in Rutland VT is seeking a Bolt division machine operator to join their team. As bolt division machine operator, you will be setting up, operating, trouble shooting, and maintain bolt making equipment.

Description:

Bolt Division Machine Operator
Shift 1: 7AM- 3PM - 4-12pm
Starting pay range: $17.75- $18.75

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Conducts machine troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Able to read a micrometer and scale
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, a forklift license
• Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules and Carris Reels safety program
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Excellent attitude, communication, and team work skills
• All other duties as required
Education / Experience:

• Prior machine operation/manufacturing experience preferred
• General knowledge of small hand tools.
• Forklift experience/license preferred
• High School Diploma or educational equivalent preferred
• Math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing

• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure
• Occasional lifting may be required
