Riggs Washington DC sits on the iconic downtown corner of Penn Quarter’s 9th and F Street in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. Each of the Hotel’s 181 guest rooms offers a playful nod to the building’s legacy. Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan – a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan.
Public Area Attendant

We are looking for... an experienced and passionate Public Area Attendant for Riggs Washington DC. Our preferred candidate would have luxury or independent hospitality experience in the Washington DC market.

The ability to be adaptable, calm under pressure, resourceful and efficient is in your DNA.
Core Essential Functions
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas of the Hotel.
- Clean lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms and other assigned public spaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust and polish assigned areas.
- Remove trash and replenish supplies as needed.
- Report maintenance concerns, damage or lost items to the appropriate supervisor.
- Respond to guest and departmental cleaning requests as needed.
- Collaborate and communicate with all departments to ensure seamless guest satisfaction.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Housekeeping leadership.
This position requires the following knowledge, skills and abilities
- Hotel Experience is not required – Fun and welcoming personality is a MUST.
- A minimum of 1–2 years hospitality or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn.
- Team player.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. without assistance.
- Flexible schedule is required to meet the needs of the business.
Hourly Rate:
$23 - $25
