Surgical Coordinator

Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care (PVESC) is looking for an organized, compassionate Surgical Coordinator to join our growing specialty team. In this role, you ll help coordinate surgical cases, support clients and patients, and keep the surgical service running smoothly.

PVESC is growing! Our new 42,000-square-foot hospital is opening soon, bringing expanded specialty services, new opportunities, and an exciting next chapter for our team.

What You ll Do

  • Coordinate surgical consultations, procedures, scheduling, and case flow
  • Communicate with clients regarding treatment plans, estimates, medications, and post-operative care
  • Maintain accurate medical records and follow-up information
  • Prepare discharge instructions, medications, and paperwork
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients and the surgical team
  • Help ensure patients and families receive clear, compassionate support

What We re Looking For

  • Veterinary experience required; surgical or specialty experience preferred
  • Veterinary Technician or Assistant background preferred
  • Excellent organization, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Strong client service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate, professional, and detail-oriented approach

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time
  • Sunday Wednesday, 7:00 AM 5:30 PM, or
  • Wednesday Saturday, 7:00 AM 5:30 PM
  • Some holidays required
  • $22 $34/hour, based on experience and licensure
