Overview:

Responsibilities will include signing in and out of truck drivers and completing appropriate paperwork. The clerk will also provide daily/weekly reports for Manager and or Management positions of shipping activities. Will coordinate shipping activities with sales and production personnel. The clerk will also fill in as a back up to create pallet tags as needed.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Types manifest, export papers and bills of laden in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Schedules appointments with truck drivers to pick up orders.
  • Will file and recall material in a standard filing system.
  • May perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Will work as back up pallet tag operator when needed
  • All other duties as assigned.

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

  • High school diploma and two years administrative experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Excel proficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Must have basic computer literacy.
  • Bi-lingual, English/Spanish desirable.
  • Flexible availability to accommodate varying shifts, weekends, and overtime as business needs require.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including inventory control, receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment processes preferable.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to do general mathematical functions using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with high degree of accuracy.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and climb or balance.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus

Pay Rate: $21.12 an hour.
