Warehouse Associate

Pay Range: $20.50/ hour

Our client, Industry Descriptor is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join their team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be part of the Distribution Center team supporting day-to-day warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, the ability to follow detailed processes, and the drive to keep orders moving accurately and efficiently.

Location: Windsor, CT

Pay Range: $20.50/ hour

Shift: Shifts vary by schedule:

• 1st: Mon–Thur 5:30am–4pm (4 days, 10hrs)
• 3rd: Fri, Sat, Sun 5am–5:30pm (3 days, 12hrs)
• 4th: Sun–Tues 5pm–5:30am (3 days, 12hrs)
• 5th: Wed–Fri 5pm–5:30am (3 days, 12hrs)

What's the Job?

• Load and unload merchandise, moving items from area to area within the distribution center.
• Use conveyors and other equipment to support efficient movement and storage of inventory.
• Check, verify, and audit merchandise; enter data into remote data terminals to confirm orders are correct and not damaged.
• Identify, separate, label, and palletize merchandise for relocation to the appropriate distribution center area.
• Replenish pick areas using replenishment screens or respond to requests for needed merchandise.

What's Needed?

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment to move and store merchandise safely and accurately.
• Strong attention to detail when scanning, verifying, and auditing shipments to ensure accuracy and condition.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where varied tasks may be assigned by department.
• Experience or willingness to fill merchandise orders by selecting and moving items to the correct conveyor, slot, pallet, or box.
• Ability to load merchandise onto trailers by moving items from conveyor to trailer or from pallet to trailer, including scanning non-conveyable or non-diverted merchandise before loading.
