What You’ll Do
- Teach AMC 8 math classes in a clear, engaging, and student-centered way
- Deliver competition-focused lessons using Think Academy's curriculum, lesson materials, and instructional guidance
- Support students in building problem-solving skills, mathematical thinking, and competition confidence
- Introduce creative and challenging math topics beyond standard curriculum (combinatorics, number theory, geometry, logic)
- Manage a virtual or in-person classroom and create a positive learning environment
- Grade homework and provide timely academic feedback
- Communicate professionally with students and parents about progress, performance, and competition goals
- Participate in teacher training, lesson preparation, and ongoing professional development
- Work approximately 30–40 hours per week, with most classes scheduled during weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree completed or in progress
- Strong math foundation, particularly in competition math topics
- Personal experience with AMC 8, AMC 10/12, or other math competitions is a plus
- Passion for making competition math accessible and exciting for middle school students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to commit at least one semester with fixed teaching schedule (Fall semester ends in Dec. 2026)
- Available to work during weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends
- Experience in tutoring, mentoring, coaching, camp teaching, or working with K–8 students is a plus
- Available to attend a 5-day on-site training (paid) in San Jose, CA as part of onboarding
