PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; reach with hands, arms, and shoulders. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. The employee occasionally will be required hand lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Set up and operate manual machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Measure and inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials and operations
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and ensure proper tool care
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and parts produced
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to resolve machining issues
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools
- Strong understanding of machining principles and metalworking techniques
- Experience with various materials including steel, aluminum, and alloys

- High school diploma or GED; technical training or apprenticeship preferred
- 3-5 years of experience operating manual machining equipment
