Job Description

Pillsbury is actively seeking a junior associate to join its Communications practice. The associate will work closely with partners across the full range of the group’s practice with a primary focus on space and satellite technologies, unmanned aviation systems,  spectrum access, national security, and equipment authorization, as well as broadcast and media matters. This will include representing clients before U.S. federal agencies (including the FCC, NOAA, FAA, and NASA), interagency committees (CFIUS and Team Telecom), state and federal courts, and international regulators.

Qualified candidates should have one to three years of relevant legal experience, excellent academic credentials, and strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills. Experience with space and satellite regulation, spectrum licensing, or national security processes is preferred, but the associate will be expected to assist partners across the firm’s Communication’s practice, so broadcast, media or other FCC-related experience is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and a genuine interest in developing expertise in communications law—particularly regulatory advocacy, technology transactions, and related litigation—as part of one of the nation’s leading communications practices.

The expected salary range for this position is $225,000 - $260,000. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skill set, and geographic location.
