Job Description
The Manassas Microwave Manufacturing Factory seeks an experienced quality in process inspector to perform optical microscope inspections on moderate to complex assemblies and subassemblies to ensure compliance to applicable quality specifications and standards.
This is a fulltime on site second shift position working a 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off!
A 10% shift differential will be added on top of the base rate for working 2nd shift. Starting time between 1pm and 2pm.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work from specifications, drawings, process instructions, engineering change orders, written and verbal instruction to inspect components subassemblies and assemblies using high and low magnification microscopes while following documented manufacturing processes and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) instruction. Identify and document defects and input data into the appropriate systems for future review. Inspect subassemblies and assemblies after rework, modifications or repairs to verify defects have been corrected. Verifies configuration of product to ensure conformity to the most recent revision. Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to achieve production and quality objectives. Maintain strict adherence to manufacturing protocols and quality standards. Interfaces with process engineering regarding technical issues and support problem resolution. Support borderless manufacturing initiatives by cross-training in additional production areas as needed.

Full-Time Salary Range: $57319 - $91710

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- High school diploma /GED
- 3 years of work experience or an Associate's degree
- Experience performing detailed visual inspection using microscopes for extended periods and good hand dexterity
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Willingness to learn new manufacturing processes and obtain process certifications.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Associate degree in a technical field
- Experience with the quality inspection of microelectronics assemblies using microscopes for 3 + years
- Prior exposure to MIL-STD-883 and IPC-A-610 standards
