ChristianaCare HomeHealth is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team. This position provides in-home occupational therapy services to patients throughout Townsend, Dover, and Frederica, Delaware, helping individuals maximize their independence, safety, and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.

As a valued member of our interdisciplinary HomeHealth team, you will work closely with Occupational Therapists, nurses, physical therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.

Position Highlights:

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments and interventions under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist patients in improving functional abilities, self-care skills, mobility, and home safety.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment.
  • Accurately document patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Travel throughout the Townsend, Dover, and Frederica service areas to provide patient care in the home setting.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a COTA in the State of Delaware
  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to meet HomeHealth travel requirement
  • Previous HomeHealth experience preferred, at least one year of work experience as a COTA required

Hourly Pay Range: $24.33 - $36.50

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
