Full job description

Our client, the University of Michigan, is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Dining Service Workers to join their team. As a Dining Service Worker, you will be part of the university's dining services department supporting a vibrant community of students, faculty, and staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Dining Service Workers

Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Start Date: Mid-August

Pay Range: $18

Shift: Days and Afternoon shifts available. Both full time and part time.

What's the Job?

  • Take and serve food orders, ensuring timely delivery of meals to guests
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and kitchen areas
  • Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, and kitchenware
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus
  • Assist in maintaining a welcoming and organized dining environment

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred.
