Objectives of this Role:
- Assemble and refine electromechanical prototypes with practical skill in system integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced assemblies.
- Assisting in specialized fabrication and assembly techniques. Includes system integration of complex designs with process/procedure writing.
- Adhere to technical specifications and safety protocols.
- Contributing input for improvements throughout the lifecycle of projects.
- Address complex issues in fabrication/assembly across various domains—mechanics, optical systems, packaging, electronics & more.
- Supervision of subordinate technical support staff on specific tasks to effectively complete project objectives is preferred.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the design and refinement of fabricated components, ensuring prototypes meet both visual and functional specifications.
- Assist as needed with logging test data and computer related activities.
- Safe operation of the technical equipment, storage of tools, storage of hazardous materials (lubricants, batteries) and troubleshooting test set failures.
- Collaborate with technicians and engineers on a daily basis.
- Adhering to industry best practices and capturing progress in fabrication and testing.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex test and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance based on provided system requirements.
- Support design, assembly, and testing, utilizing skills such as hands-on assembly, casting, detailed painting, and fabrication to ensure components meet design and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Active security clearance required.
- 5-10 years: Proficient skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment and assemblies.
- 5-10 years: Demonstrated strong organization skills and attention to detail, effective communication, proper use of tools and equipment, and execution of technical procedures.
- 5-10 years: Experience in team leadership, adherence to safety protocols, and hazardous materials handling.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
