Our client is seeking a talented Pastry Chef to lead a high-volume pastry and bakery operation within a premier entertainment and hospitality destination. Pastry Chef Requirements & Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of professional pastry or baking experience, including leadership experience
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, resort, casino, banquet, or catering environment
  • Strong knowledge of classical and contemporary pastry and baking techniques
  • Proven ability to hire, train, coach, and develop pastry professionals
  • Experience managing food cost, labor, ordering, inventory, and production
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operation
  • Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and special events

Pastry Chef Preferred Background & Skills

  • Casino, luxury hotel, resort, or large entertainment venue experience
  • Advanced chocolate work, sugar artistry, cake decorating, and plated dessert experience
  • Large-scale banquet, catering, and special event production
  • Strong balance of high-volume production and refined presentation
  • Recipe development and menu planning experience
  • Creative seasonal dessert and product development
  • Strong understanding of food and labor costs
  • Purchasing, inventory, and vendor management experience
  • Production forecasting and workload planning
  • Culinary degree or professional pastry training preferred
